Are we using Artificial Intelligence in daily life??

 Are we using AI in our daily life? Looks confusing!!!

To answer this question, first we have to understand what actually what AI stand for.

AI is Artificial Intelligence, where artificial stands for man-made and intelligence stands for learning and decision making. That means ai is a machine that learns from itself, thinks, make decision and take action. Yes, you read right, machine learns, make decisions and execute them like humans.

Artificial Intelligence is similar to human intelligence, they do most similar work like human do in more time efficiently.

We heard a quote almost in our lifetime, “Practice makes a man perfect.”  This quote is practically true, we normally experience it once in our life. But the point is, this similar quote also valid in Artificial intelligence.

Generally, AI is separated in 3-levels:

·       Artificial narrow intelligence (ANI) 

·       Artificial general intelligence (AGI)

·       Artificial super intelligence (ASI)

 

Artificial narrow intelligence is the most basic level of AI in which machine receives, thinks and take action on a very small level. Here I meant machine for both machine and software as well. The rapidly growing field of bots serves as an excellent example of narrow AI at work. In its simplest form, a bot is a piece of software than can run automated tasks that are generally simple and repetitive in nature.

Bots can provide answers to questions like, “What’s the weather going to be like today?” “Where should I go for lunch?” “How many visitors came to our website last week?” and so on. Bots pull data from larger systems and deliver just the answer you’re looking for – whether it’s from a weather site, a restaurant recommendation engine, or a web analytics platform.

Yes, you are right Siri, google assistant, Alexa, Cortana, etc. are the example of artificial narrow intelligence that we use in our daily life. But this is not completed we use more than that. We see auto search when we use google search engine that recommends related to our recent activities.


This can also be seen in emails-

We see recommended people accounts on Facebook, Instagram and other social media handles.

These all are application of ai in our daily life and we can’t forget google maps that saves are most of time from going somewhere to somewhere else place.

This is quite amazing that we started using ai in almost from a decade before.

AGI and ASI are higher level of AI which can be predicted by researchers that human can achieve AGI in almost coming 2 decades and ASI in further decades.
